Islam and Diversity
Heterogeneity, Pluralism, Peace
Heterogeneity

Islam represents a heterogeneity of interpretations, practices, cultures and peoples.
Pluralism

Islamic pluralism recognises that there are multiple approaches to reach ultimate reality.
Peace

Peace is possible through rejection of all forms, means and drivers of violence and intolerance.
Divine life

Divine life is in touch with the whole universe on the analogy of the soul’s contact with the body. The soul is neither inside nor outside the body; neither proximate to nor separate from it.
Muhammad Iqbal
Do the right thing

Being a true Muslim is the most important thing in the world to me. It means more to me than being black or being American. Stand up for God, fight for God, work for God and do the right thing, and go the right way, things will end up in your corner.”
Muhammad Ali
Start of a meeting

I’m amazed, that how salaam (peace) is always the first word to start a meeting. but in prayer it is the end word. Maybe it means the end of prayer is the start of a meeting.
Ali Shariati
